1. No Matter What Your Titles Can't Be Boring.
Do you buy books with boring titles? I sure as heck don't. Let's face it, people judge a book by its cover. Articles are the same way. An article might be exactly what you're looking for but if it has a bad title, there is no way that anyone will spend time, let alone money, to obtain it. Make sure that your titles can help you grab the attention of your potential clients to boost your open rate.
2. Nine Times Out of Ten, A Short Article Is Better Than A Long One.
How would you feel about watching a 5-hour movie? I wouldn't stick around even if the film maker would pay me to do so simply because I have so much on my plate. When writing your articles, you need to consider the time that your readers will have to spend on your content just to get the information they need. Since your prospects are busy, it would be awesome if you could get your message across in 5 minutes or less. You can do this by making your articles short, scannable, and direct to the point.
3. Just like your titles, Make Sure Your Topics Are Interesting.
You could have the best brain surgery article on the internet. Somebody surely does. But if you're targeting gardeners, you aren't going to get any traffic. So, write about topics that they would like to know about. You can write about their hobbies, areas of interest, problems, questions, and the things that they would like to learn about.
4. Hands down, articles must be interesting.
If you don't want your readers to close your articles after reading your first paragraph, you need to make sure that your articles are interesting to read. Make sure you're articles are conversational and don't have too many "fluff" words. Be funny, concise, and write as if you're the reader and you're new to a subject.
